Chicago BMW Ordering Policy
MOST ORDERS WILL SHIP WITHIN 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE DATE OF YOUR ORDER.
Oversize Packages & Multiple Box Shipments Are Subject to Additional Handling Charges. International, APO/FPO, Hawaii and Alaska Orders must call or email for shipping charges.
Items that are on backorder will ship when they are released from BMW to us.
Partial shipments will be made for large orders where less than half of the parts need to be ordered from BMW, or when not-in-stock parts from an order are on backorder.
We will attempt to notify our customers either via phone or email when a part is on backorder, and give the backorder release date if available. Additionally a deposit will be taken on all items on the order including those that need to be ordered from BMW.
Painted parts, Calibrated Speedometers and items that are Key-Coded CANNOT be returned OR cancelled after they are ordered.
Orders for painted parts are not returnable once they are shipped from our store. Any damage claims need to be made with the shipper delivering the item to the customer at the time of delivery. We inspect every painted part prior to shipment and pack to prevent damage but it can occur so please inspect your package(s) upon delivery.
Chicago BMW does not ship anything that can be considered a hazardous material this includes all fluids, aerosols and batteries. These items will be removed form any order and notification may not be sent.
Chicago BMW accepts returns on mounted/installed parts at our discretion or if they are defective in manufacture. We will not accept any returns on electrical parts or electronic components, or any item not in a saleable condition, other than warranty issues.
International Customers are responsible for all customs duties, clearance fees and similar charges and fees that may be involved in order for you to receive the merchandise ordered. You are also responsible for those same fees on any returns to us. We have no control over these charges and customs policies and charges vary widely from country to country.
Order Additions
You may add items to an existing order at any point you like within 2 business days of placing the order. Handling charges will be adjusted if needed. Parts added after the 2 day period will be treated as a separate order to avoid any delays on the original order.
Order Cancellations
You may cancel an order within 12 business hours of placing your order without a cancellation fee. Any order cancelled after the 12 hour period is subject to a 10% cancellation fee. The 10% fee is calculated as 10% of the full retail price of all items cancelled. Orders are usually processed in our system within 30 minutes of us recieving the order, and ordered with our vendors within 12 business hours. We recieve and process orders during our normal business hours only. Cancellations by email are preferred but may be made by phone as well. Exceptions may be made for items we have in stock or we determine are quickly saleable. Exceptions are at the sole discretion of the internet department management staff.
No order is cancellable after it enters shipping process. Once it is in the shipping process a cancellation attempt will classify as a Return, and be subject to our Return and Exchange policy.
Backorders can be cancelled without penalty unless they have shipped. A backorder is an item not available from a vendor, not an item that is on order with a vendor and available.
Special ordered aftermarket items and items that are vendor-direct such as key-coded, painted items and items with mileage can not be cancelled after the 12 hour period for any reason.
